Expansion on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs: Path Model

Beyond Maslow's hierarchy, there are expanded hierarchies:

Need of cognition: after self-esteem, people want to know about the world.

Need of Aesthetic: people have appreciations of patterns and recognitions after the need of cognition.

Need of transcendence: People want to achieve something beyond one's potential, as families, species, or mixtures of creatures and tools.

Here we have the model, then why do we need it?

1. Arrange priority: higher level needs are more important, while lower levels are more urgent. But it will change according to the situation.

2. Find needs: if people are not happy, usually their needs are not satisfied. Find it, then feed it.

3. Get goals: if you don't have a goal, go through it, and find a need of you that has not been fulfilled, then go for it.
